“The Heart of Philanthropy” Educational Program
The Triskeles Foundation creates, co-hosts and supports special projects and programs, workshops, retreats, conferences, and educational opportunities for enhancing the understanding of the deeper significance of money, and wealth while addressing personal motivation, idealism and skills for practical applications toward effective philanthropy.
A) As part of the significant transition of wealth (often intergenerational) that will continue during the next decades, individuals with newly inherited or newly earned wealth are increasingly engaged with questions of personal and civic values, and emerging personal transformation through philanthropic intention and involvement. Working with those with newly inherited assets, young people, individuals with existing excess (philanthropic) capital, those responsible for institutional giving, and women (or men) who have suddenly taken on philanthropic responsibility, the Triskeles Foundation focuses on colloquia, collaborative projects, research and demonstration models, and workshops on how intentions and motivations can consciously and effectively be integrated with the “mechanics” of philanthropy.
B) The Triskeles Foundation, in collaboration with others, creates philanthropic curricula and learning modules for school children and youth. These educational programs and modules for charitably minded ways of working with giving are also being developed in/for international settings, where charitable tax incentives, structures and philanthropic approaches and techniques are less developed.
C) The Triskeles Foundation builds and develops funding collaboratives.
